  3. Dear CONSULTRON customer,

  5. It's been awhile since we've had news worth reporting.
  6.  
  7. CrossDOS 6 Professional is now at release 6.06!
  8.  
  9. Sorry, CrossDOS still does not support Windows 95 long file names.  We
  10. are  working on it.  No announced date for its' release.  Please don't
  11. email  us  inquiring  about  its  availabilty.     We'll most likely
  12. won't reply.  We're working as fast as we can.
  13.  
  14. The changes in CrossDOS 6.06 are relatively minor.  Mostly
  15. maintenance.  Here's a short list:
  16.  
  17. -- Added support for MS-DOS formatted drives larger than 4G.
  18.  
  19. -- Fixed problem with ConfigDisk program accessing omniscsi.device HD
  20. controllers.
  21.  
  22. -- Added support to Dr_CrossDOS and Install programs to display CIN
  23. and current CrossDOS release in the product disk.
  24.  
  25. -- Minor maintenance fixes.
  26.  
  27. You  can find the patch files on our BBS or at the AmiNet sites in the
  28. biz/patch  directory.    The  file  is  called  "CrossDOS606.lha".  The
  29. patches  will  patch  all  official  CrossDOS 6 product disks (6.00 to
  30. 6.05).
